Garment Portraits
Garment portraits illustrate the unique story of the wearer (past or present) and reflect a time, a place, a memory held dear to the client.
Karin Foulds looks to her love of form, fabric, and story telling to inform her representational work most often expressed using oil on canvas or pencil, and ink on paper.
Her garment portraits reveal the personal history of the wearer, reflecting a memory held dear to the client. The client’s participation (set up as well as the ritual of closing) is encouraged.
